While there may be more practical medium-sized LCVs out there, there aren’t any as eye catching as the ID.Buzz Cargo. A new interpretation of what this class of van can be, the ID.Buzz Cargo brings together retro styling and future-oriented engineering to produce a cargo version of the VW passenger model.

It takes 12.25 hours the charge the ID.Buzz Cargo’s 77kwh battery from a normal wall box, resulting in a 256 mile range. Over this distance, it can carry its 3.9m3 of cargo (with a payload of up to 607kg depending on the trim), having enough floorspace for 2 Euro pallets.

The ID.Buzz’s distinct style is divisive– you’ll either find it ridiculous, or charming. In any case, it brings a high-tech specification and an unrivalled driving range with it, albeit with a smaller load bay than the class standard.
